The Master Cleanse...I'm gonna do it

So, tomorrow I start the Master Cleanse diet. Oh my.

Powers above, please help me.

I've been wanting to do a cleanse or detox for weeks, I think I'm ready now. Out of all the research I've done, I'm most comfortable with the Master Cleanse. I bought all my ingredients for my lemonade today. I have to admit, it sounds absolutely disgusting. But I hear it's not that bad. Guess we'll see.

I'm mostly doing this to cut my emotional attachment to food. Even when I have been at my most healthy weight and have exercised daily, I still have been so worried about food. I want to see how different I will feel when the food I'm eating isn't affecting my body so much. My mood so much.

I want to write about this experience here on the blog so I can document in one place how I will feel and how I will be affected while on this cleanse. Every night I will write about how I feel and how it's going.

  1. COngrats on taking the plunge! Thats awesome. Go you! I have a few questions though - did you just get the recipe for the master cleanse or did you buy all of this stuff thats on the link? I'm very interested, I think this would be a great thing for my body. For the most part, I eat pretty healthy food. Fresh fruit and veggies every day but I am COMPLETELY addicted to Mountain Dew and we all know how WONDERFUL soda is for you. Jeez. Just wanted to know how this works.   2. Hey Natalie! Thanks for the encouragement! You're always so nice to me :) Well, to answer your questions, I did not buy anything online. I went to whole foods and bought all my ingredients...organic lemons, Grade B organic maple syrup, cayenne pepper powder, filtered water, organic laxative tea...some people on this do the salt water flush but I decided to just do the laxative tea every night because the salt water flush is so unbelievably disgusting and it just makes me so thirsty. I think this would totally help you to get over your Mountain Dew love! I am totally blown away at how easy this is for me so far and how detached I already am from just eating because I'm stressed or grumpy. Let me know if that helped at all!
