I am not happy today

What I'm not happy about occurred yesterday.
I didn't want to write bad words on my blog.
So I'm just now getting to the story.
Because I'm still unhappy today.
So move on to the next blog because this is officially a rant.
Unless, of course, you happen to be in the mood for a good rant.
In that case, read on.

As most of you know, we own a house but don't live in it (read About Me, please).
For obvious reasons we can't sell it.
Obvious reasons being the sucky economy (understatement of the year).
And the fact that we just bought our house not but a year ago and would practically lose money.
So, we want to move back to our house. Duh.
We have two kids, a big dog and are crammed in with my in-laws.
Problem is, right now we're two thousand miles away from said house.
The things we needed to do here are now done and we want to move back.
Really bad.
But I understand it doesn't matter.
We move when it's possible.
That's okay.
I had accepted the natural consequences of our decisions.
But then, the hubby saw he could transfer to another job with the same company.
Another job close to our house.
The hubby contacted the folk that were hiring.
The folk said they loved him and wanted to hire him.
The boss man here said it was great. At first.
Said he appreciated everything the hubby had done for him.
Said he wanted to help in any way.
For a week the hubby was supposedly going to fly out for an interview!
But when it came time for the boss man to let the hubby transfer...
The boss man said no.
Despite the fact that he said he wanted to help him move!
Despite the fact that boss man knows our situation and supposedly wanted to help!
They just don't want to lose the hubby.
See the hubby kicks serious butt at work.
Boss man didn't want to let him go.
My favorite line boss man said...
It's business. Don't take it personal.
Yeah, yeah. Shove it where the sun doesn't shine boss man.

I think I'm done now.
I must get over it.
I will get over it.
It's not even that we're not moving.
It's that for a week boss man just lied!
How can people lie like that?
It's so disappointing.
They gave the hubby hope and just crushed him.
And all of us too.

Oh well, moving on....

  1. Oh man! That sucks, well I must admit I was pretty disappointed you were going back. I guess we will get to keep you for a while :)

  2. That sucks. That sucks hard. For the 5 years we've been married we've spent every summer living with my husband's parents - half of our marriage, yikes. It's been terribly difficult. It's harder to know that you have somewhere else you could be; your own home but you do what you have to do. I hope things work out for you soon and for the best.

  3. Thanks girls. Making me feel better already.

  4. Ugh, I'm so angry. But I know you guys and I know you wont sit back and take this quietly. Give him hell till he owns up to the promises he made you guys. It's not about business, it's about your family and (in my opinion) it's personal now.

  5. That is lousy. :( If I had a house out West, I would want to be there, too.
By the way, I checked out that "Meanest Mom" blog and our sides hurt from laughing. Seriously. I needed a good laugh today. If you need a good one, you have to read her post about the circumcision. :)

  6. Bonnie is it my imagination or did you become a rock star photog over night. I just saw your little thing on Rockstar Diaries. How much does it cost? Your pictures are looking awesome.
