Mela and the hubby

Mela was really sick yesterday and today. Throwing up and with serious tummy aches. I have never, ever been so grateful for my husband. Mela wanted to do nothing else today but cry and be held by daddy and he was so up to the task. Hour after hour he held her with such patience. More patience than I possess, that's for sure. And all I kept thinking was how lucky she is to have a daddy that loves her that much. She's the luckiest girl in the world.

And somewhere in between all the throw up, cries, and cleaning up, I realized how lucky I am, too. It's as if watching my hubby love his family so much, made me fall for him all over again. It's hard to explain, really. But he took care of all us this weekend. We ate and slept and got tucked in and took medicine and drank enough liquids because he made sure we did. And I think that's awesome. Not everyone has someone like that to take life on with. I realize that and I'm grateful I do.
