Just thinking about it...

In one of my previous posts I mentioned I was moving back home. Back home, to me, means the city of Denver. Very soon we will be back in our own house, not yet though.

But when we are back in our house, I will:

-be a fifteen minute drive away from my mom. I can't wait for this one.

-decorate my own walls with photographs of the most important people in my world, my family.

-clean my own toilet.

-cook food from my own fridge and pantry.

-hang my own curtains.

-let my kids write on the ground in our backyard with all the sidewalk chalk there little hearts desire.

-actually have to pick up my dog's poop since we won't be living on ten acres of land anymore.

-put my kids to bed in their own rooms.

-have room to sew again.

-only have visitors over when we ourselves invited them.

-be able to walk around in just my undies. Also can't wait for this one.

-have a place to call my own.

All of these things, some more simple than others, make the thought of us moving back in our home so exciting.

We have lived with my in-laws for over a year now. I have come and gone a few times to visit my mom in Denver but this time, I will be going and not coming back. That is the plan, anyway. But because we lived with my in-laws, is the reason I can go back home peacefully. Some major debt was paid and feelings were sorted out. I must thank them for letting my family dwell in their home. As much as this past year was rough, I think we came out stronger.

This decision to move is a hard one. The hubby will not be coming with me right away. And truth be told, we don't know when he will. I have faith that it will be soon. But the hubby and I have seen our kids grow so much this past year. They need their own space. They need a sense of stability. We, as their parents, owe them those things. We have lived here as long as we can. Honestly, I'm glad we did. Just this past year, what I have been able to accomplish with my photography business, is such a blessing. Had we not been able to save the money we would have been paying on our mortgage, we would not have been able to accomplish what we did with my business completely debt-free. What a blessing that is. And so, thank you Kay and Donald, you have given us more than you know.

So, for now, I know I leave in September. Who knows what will come next. My heart and mind, and also the hubby's, are completely at peace with our decision though. And that's such a good thing.

More on our move and life soon.
