sunshine my...you know where I'm going with this. I sing this song to Mela every time I put her down for a nap or at bedtime. I hug her while standing and I rock back and forth. She loves it. I do too and I also love that she knows it's our song. If I sing it around her she always looks at me and smiles or cruises right over to me.
I was singing this song to her today, at nap time, and I realized that this song is actually really beautiful. It's simple and so popular that even our trolley conductor in Hershey made us sing it before they would start the ride. All that in yet the words are still pretty sweet.

I think I just shed a tear! Maybe not. But it's still a really sweet song. Go sing it to someone right now. They will probably think you're weird but maybe they will at least smile while saying, "stop being weird (enter your name here)!"
